Warlock application, Grimwolf

Post by Grim »

Personal Info:
Hello, my name is Michael, I am 26 years old and live in Germany near Frankfurt. I work as a book keeper at a pharma/chemical company.

Character Info:
Orc Warlock Level 70 named Grimwolf.
Current spec: Affliction 41/2/18
Usual PvE gear stats: HP 9k(with imp, can be boosted) / Mana: 7.4k
Bonus Dmg: 1025 / shadow 1258 (including fel armor)
Hit: 169 / Crit: 205
Professions: Tailoring 375 / Enchanting 375.
I also have some shadow res-gear rdy(Crafted bracers and back).
(Armory is donw atm)
I also have an alt who is herb so farming some pots/flask is no problem.

Raiding experience:
Pre-TBC: MC, BWL, AQ40 cleared. Naxx up to Patchwerk.
TBC: Gruul, Mag, SSC and TK cleared. Hyjal few tries on Archi. BT: Najentus, Supremus, Akama, Gorefiend and few tries on Blodboil.
I can be online every day about 6-7 pm. Most likely I will be available 3-4(maybe sometimes 5 days) a week for raiding. Just have to do the ususal rl stuff on some evenings.

Previous guilds:
TDR -> Fleetwood -> DL -> Elysium
If you have any questions about the guild history feel free to ask.

Why SM?
After Elysium has become a social guild I am really missing raiding after a few weeks. I would like to join SM because it seems for me you found an exellent mix of having a steady progress but not go over the top. I am also pretty sick of any kind of drama and I am assuming(and also heart) since SM consits quite a while now things are quite well.
I also like the fact that SM is at about the same progress as Elysium when we stopped raiding in order to see new content and learining new bosses.
Unfortunately I only know Nooki from SM.

If you have any further questions of course feel free to ask me in-game(prolly on my alts: Grimwar or Grimshar) or here.

Well, thats it. Thanks for reading my application and hope to hear from you.

I still remember him from pre TBC... good player back then. Being German is a big bonus point of course
May I ask for which company you work? I'm in the same branch of trade :)

Gl with your application..

Im working for Merck in Darmstadt. You probably know them from their liquid crystals for LCDs where they are quite succesful.

Thats a different Merck. The one in the US has nothing to do with the German Merck KGaA. :P

For the application I would just like to add that of course I dont mind at all if I should get rotated for raids quite often depending on the situation.

Did you read our manifest at the top of the page?
When it comes to raiding we tend to "roast" players that make crucial mistakes, so a healthy dose of self-critique and a sense of humor is required to withstand the "blame game".
We aren't like old school PoW and give minus DKP for every little mistake but we do like to make fun of people who make a mistake. Can you handle that?

Also, how do you feel about playing with Danes? :?

I was gonna ask you abot David H. but seeing that you are German you must love The Hoff as much as we do since his greatest success in Europe was in Germany I think

On a more serious note: Do you have ventrilo and do you dare to speak on it?

Yes, I did read the mainfest. I don't don't mind being critcised for obvious mistakes tho I hope it wont be needed alot(neither remember that I ever caused any stupid wipes etc.)
Making fun of me, sure. Of course most wipes are caused of afking locks. If not, the Trolls are to blame! And Im pretty used to it due to being in a guild with the sarcasm-black humour-insulting-emo-kings -> The finns!

Hmm Danes...didn't like them after the Euro 1992 but thats just football and I forgive them to beat the greatest football nation ever. :P But tbh I absolutely love them!(do I have any other choice?? :) )

The Hoff: not really. But I love Johnny Cash. Does that count under the "I love strange ppl+music" category?

Vent: of course got it. Tbh I leave the talking to the leaders and tanks etc. and am quite silent but if you want me to I can talk.
