That's because most ppl prefer killing data controlled creatures over other players :?

Yeah, heard it's quite similar to UO (at least in concept).

Though I do share Morlog's pessimism regarding the fate of the game itself.
It's pretty hard, imo, to offer competition to the McDonalds of MMOs - especially for 13 to 10 euros a month.

Actually if you want to compare it to something somewhat recent I guess it would be Shadowbane.
Anyone tried that?

It´s about hope and faith, and Fenz is the messiah... questions?
Complicating is the true path to simplicity.

Darkfall is a niche game but I usually check new mmorpg's out. Corpselooting is all nice and dandy but you need a good guild to provide you with new gear when you get robbed. In UO it made the world really dangerous but it was very exiting too.

In Darkfall there is no mouselook so you actually have to turn to look behind you, gg trying to plant some arrows in somebodies back while an entire army sneaks up on you ;)

PS DIII will be fun for up to 6 months perhaps but I never got into the "5000000 Baal" runs for D2. Unless they add a lot of content fast. Trying to play it hardcore is fun tho after you did everything on normal/hell/nightmare.

Just play StarCraft2 for the next ten years when it hits. That game requires real skill. :)

I could never get into SC. I did play a lot of C&C back in the day tho but seeing the kids running around with an entire army while I just put up my 3rd building was a bit disheartening 8) Maybe it is fun playing against the computer?
