isn't it better to put a point in curse of exhaustion instead of shadow embrace?
I mean, does 1% really do anything when youre getting hammered? :P

The point is that it is one extra debuff to dispel. Can switch stuff around but the main thing is Siphon Life. I never found much use for CoEx but it might be sweet together with a FG 8)

finally some love to demonology locks...that demonic pact buff seems like the win to me...

I am glad they increase raidbuff capabilities for all classes, more synergies ftw

I think Blizzard secretly wants us all to be PvE Fire locks. New "Master Demonologist" + "Empowered Imp" and "Destructive reach"-threat reduction. I can't really figure out why Empowered imp is so far down in the destro tree tho, it won't be viable for PvP anyways.

Looked through some of the loot now, looks pretty boring with all the merging of spell power etc. Reminds me of sometime how sneek mentioned how strength couldve been used for boosting everyones dmg, and how that would save lots of time and improve not having to use so many different kinds of loot, but at the same time it'd be boring as hell.
And you thought you knew pain...

Not really a talent related thing, but DOWNRANKING is finally OUT.

Now you have zero reason to downrank. Finally that abortion of a gimmick is gone.
This'll radically change everything in raiding at least.

i think this is a good change tbh. less hassle. if your out of mana..your done..no downranking heals to give that tank that little heal that might save him.
I never used downranking a lot, except my healing wave...i wont be noticing the difference. but i know a lot of people who downranked all their spells..and chain potting is out too..2 big changes for raiders.

In TBC I downranked nearly all the time.

Hated the way the game changed after BWL though.
Thought the big healing rotations and regen rotations (from everquest) applied to Firemaw et al was pretty interesting.
I loved full earthfury too, so yeah, I'm a freak.

I'm not so sure about that... I make extensive use of downranking when raiding to preserve mana. If the tank is at 17K/20K there's no point in me throwing a 5K heal, better to throw a 3K heal and save some mana.

I also downrank when keeping the tank topped off depending on how many healers there are present and the pressure on the tank. Taking Kalecgos for example, I spam maxrank FoL in the beginning when no one is in the demon realm and move up to rank 8 or 9 HL as more healers are ported. I very rarely use max rank HL unless the situation demands it.

The removal of downranking will probably mean more overhealing and thus more wasted mana.
