If I have to pick one from the last year I'd like to point out "Gone baby gone" by Ben Affleck.

Go and watch Persepolis, best movie I seen in the last months! A black and white cartoon about a girl growing up in Iran during the revolution. It's a biography and built on Marjane Satrapis comics. Very good!!!

Since Fenz listed most of the favourites, I won't say them all again, though he forgot one movie in that list:

Rounders

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0128442/

1998 movie with Ed Norton and Matt Damon in the one and only actually good gambling movie.

Saw this movie the other day also, quite new one, and was really good. Called "The Bank Job" based on the largest bank robbery in the history of britain:

"The 21" (or something) is a pretty cool gambling movie, since its about a real life event

Yeah though the acting and the story sucked dick. The documentary about the MIT blackjack team was way more exciting (was actually good, not being sarcastic).
