I am playing on a pvp server. The pvp there is brutal, you can attack everyone almost all of the time (except near quest hubs). PvE is more forgiving then it is like DaOC and you can only pvp in the border kingdoms.

Not sure what I like best

I hate melees but the melee fighting in AoC is very intense. I am trying out various melee types and having a a lot of fun with it but for PvP I will probably fall back to a caster

Gonna roll only pve in the future too ganking never got my interest and i dont wanna bother with pvp when im doing pve im sure there will be bg/arena similair things for all mmorpgs games in dev
