Hellgate London

Post by Deadleg »

new game Hellgate London seems quite nice. What do you think? anyone gonna try it?

A little info

* From the Creators of Diablo - Flagship Studio was formed in 2003 by former executives and developers from Blizzard North®, the creators of the worldwide, best-selling Diablo® franchise.
* A New Perspective on RPGs - Uniquely combining the depth and customizability of Role-Playing games with the action of First-Person Shooters.
* Unique and Appealing World - Experience the ominous setting of post-apocalypse London.
* Choose Your Character - Fight against the demons of the underworld as a member of one of three distinct character factions (Templar, Cabalist, Hunter).
* Hell on Earth - Battle for survival against a wide variety of demonic enemies.
* Infinite Re-playability - With dynamically generated levels, massive quantities of randomly created items, chance events and story driven quests, no two gaming experiences are ever the same
* Single-Player and Online Multiplayer Support - Hellgate: London definitely stands on its own as a single-player game, and it also provides a compelling cooperative multiplayer experience through a dedicated online gaming destination.

ofcourse there will be alot of bugs/issues that needs to be fixed, wow have had their share of them. Was more intrested in hearing what you thought of it, if it seems to be a nice game or if anyone had tried it out. it´s created by the ppl that made diablo, think it could be intresting.

I played the beta for 5 minutes and didn't like it at all. It got old after running around in identical streets for 5 minutes for me.

Quite liked it. Sort of.
Loot drops the same coloured way it did on other isometric/3d rpg´s.
Played a variety of classes, quite addictive and pretty on a nice machine.
A bit lost on the quests tbh. Jumbled up on a bit hard to trace.
The dialogue is weird and fcuked up. Voice acting is shit. :P

It hooked me for a few hours, but the gfx on the maps is basically the same over and over. :| Even tough the gameplay and monsters vary a bit. Not much tho.
Was talking on /o about this game and apparently it gets better with a subscription?
Has a huge potencial as it changes from 3rd person to semi bird´s view on the gameplay. But pretty boring.

Check these out:

- Gears of War
- The Witcher
Complicating is the true path to simplicity.

I'd go with CoD4 instead of Gears (both good games, make no mistake) to start of with. I hated CoD 1,2,3 absolutely adored the 4th (for the record, i hate ww2 shooters). Crysis is pretty cool, but only if you can crank it up to atleast High shader quality. :>

Gears is out. So to speak.
But i'm with Akaza here. And Psythe, no bayonetes in no4. Only evil army knifes carried by S.A.S members. Kek.
