Post by Seimor »

There is a very intresting lock thread in here so why not make our own pwnage thread :)

well start it of the seimor with a few macros and specs

maybe what spec youre going to have in the expansion?

and am i correct in the notion that the fastest way lvling a shaman is enchantment with imp lightning shield and 2h and flameshocking the mobs and whacking em till they di with only refreshing the shield and shock?

i was told this was the best way to reduce downtime? doies it still hold true?

yes its true..atleast i think it is.

i leveled my shaman in no time at all in enhancement with a 2handed axe and flameshocking. but you can also level with elemental which is slightly more difficult but still fun to do. i guess what you can do there is use lightning bolt, frostshock and earthbind totem if you got the room.
but lets not forget the restoration leveling..you can do that but that means you have to do a lot of instances cause you suck in dealing damage and it will take a lot of time to get a mob done if your not in a party...so its great if you got a partner which you level with.

oh and i will make a post later on with specs usable in the BC according to my vision..lets make this treat as big as the warlocks :D

Yes morlog flameshock dont cost so much mana and deal almost the same dmg *over time* also the 2h wf is pretty imba but some times wf just refuse to proc and that can make a grinder mad!! 1 mob can take like 5 sec to kill and then the 2nd 25 :P the imbaness of wf is great!!

According to the most recent reports from the BC beta realms aggro mechanics for a Shaman have changed.
Not sure if I like it to be honest.

Reference link, EJ forums: http://forums.elitistjerks.com/viewtopi ... d=9193&p=2

Anyway, Frost Shock deals aggro now instead of Earth Shock and they've apparently removed the aggro component off rockbiter.
Which has me wondering why they just don't delete that weapon enchantment or rework it into something else :|

Good news is, that mindlessly spamming Stormstrike and Earth Shock will be possible in the 2.0+ patches without getting a mob stuck to you like glue.

Think I used frostbrand before I got windfury, around level 28 or so.
:|

Anyhoo, the Earth Shield talent is good stuff. Currently it's bugged in BC though and seems to proc off everything, not just melee attacks.

It's in fact a reactive heal that has immensely favourable coefficients with your +healing gear.
One HOT and an Earth Shield from both decked healers can keep a good tank up in the 5-mans, or so I've read.

earthshield...i dunno.

from my point of view:
i wanna be a elemental / resto shaman and that leaves me with a dillema of epic proportions.

its either 30% more spelldamage and ES in resto or mana regen and 100% dmg with crits in elemental.

i just cant choose

So has it been confirmed that we can buff each individual weapon?

So wf on both or wf on one and Rockbiter on the other?

And ofc i will try out dw aswell but think i will go that whit some bc eq at lvl 65!

Oviously as you guys know im going for dw, i think im taking quite a risk using all my dkp to support my addiction ^^ but im hoping that this build will become part of pve, well at least some part of dw dps, maybe with raid supporting abilities like Unleashed Rage (hopefully will stack with other ap abilities) and imp totems.

Now ive been racking my brain with rogues and warriors regarding which weapons to use, i.e. high dmg weapons in one hand, fast in offhand, same speed in both hands etc..

Damonte actually gave me some nice info last night in saying that if you have a largely faster offhand (more than 0.4) when we are gaining flurry you will be using all your flurry hits off on your off hand, so your flurry wont be put to best use and its your main hand which will be doing the more dmg.

Up until now ive been going with the rogues idea of using a faster offhand but they dont have flurry, but i think ive switched my prospective to similar speed weapons.

let me know your thoughts. 8)

HELP ME
Personally Toe, i would go for a more offensive build when BC hits, at least until 65 as by that time we will all have an idea of what builds are required of us.

You know ive never been a big fan of resto but i know your a healer by heart so i would go for either one of your 2 last builds.

Also, if you went for one of these you would get Unrelenting Storm which is an intellect based talent and of that you have alot of. :)

Whenever ive specced elemental i always have to have Lightening Mastery and Elemental Mastery. So i think these are essential spell dmg dps talents, and even you will be throwing off your bolts like a mad man i think your mana pool will be able to cope
