Headset

Post by Kororo »

Like some of you might remember, my wife is gonna give me a headset (and a new soundcard) for my birthday. She asked me to order one, so i have one i realy like.

My 3 previous (cheap) headsets were broken in a few mounths and this time i'd like to have a good one.
First i had a standard headset you get when you buy UT2004
Second was this one: http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/produ ... ENTID=6339
Now i have this one (and using speakers to hear you all): http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/produ ... ENTID=9523

I'd like to have some advise here. I've seen some 5.1 headsets i'm interested in.
Some of these perhaps? http://www.sennheiser.com/sennheiser/ic ... headphones

Sennheiser was the king of headphones, not sure if they still are. Just get one with a mic so your wife can keep wondering to whom you are talking too :lol:
I ain't leaving without your soul and I am sober this time.

ive been using sennheiser for ~10 years now, and all i can say it is the best.

currently im using these headphones;

one nice thing is u get an very nice attatchement thingie to fasten to your desk so you can let ur headphones hang on when ure not using them.

and im very satisfied with them, sennheiser also has a very nice support.
if u get any problems they either replace or repair ur headphones asap at no cost.

yepp i have been using sen aswell the last 5 or so years, i bought a couple of koss now but its no big diffrence as far as i can tell. regarding the soundcard just buy a creative one like, Soundblaster audigy and you will be playing with a big smile on your face for sure. I have one and i think meek has one aswell atleast he use to and its the only thing i keep when buying a new computer.
i wear Veroths cloak but i bet the smart money says he wears my grandmas panties. Thats just nasty.

Go for wireless with a desktop microphone is my advice. Desktop microphones are dirt cheap and with a wireless headphone you'll never have to worry about the damn cables fracturing again.

I used that exact same logitech headset you have now and it busted after 3 months of wow due to a cable fracture even though I handled it as carefully as possible :P Using a philips wirless headset with 15 hour battery time and a desktop microphone myself at the moment. Never ever going back to cable again :P
