Fenz, yes you can complete the game with just the VATS. Though sometimes you might need to "leg it" while your "action points" fill up - if you fight too many (higher powered) enemies at a time. It is a pretty freeform game - so if you hit a tough spot you might want to reconside...

It's pretty good - compared to Oblivion.
The main plot is weak and short and has a horrible conclusion.

Don't expect a Fallout 1 or 2. Other then that it's reasonably interesting.
It's more of a shooter then an RPG thing.

Chain Lightning change'll make Maelstrom Weapon even more of a laughable ability.
The rest of the changes are overdue and in line with changes to other classes.

Blizzard's having trouble handling pets, period. A similar quote was given to Hunters. The foundation of their game is hinged on typical additive attributes (attackpower, spellpower) or even multiplicative crap (crit, hit).
